Finley Milligan: 7 Months Old

How cool is my playroom!

It seems a day doesn’t pass without Finley showing off one of her new tricks. In the past two weeks she has started sitting up unassisted and getting up on all fours to rock back and forth. She is extremely proud of herself, as she should be! She is always looking to her father saying with her eyes “look at me Dad, aren’t you impressed!” Being able to sit up creates an entire new and exciting world for a little girl. I think that she wakes up early every morning because she can’t wait to get started playing. She spends quite a bit of time in her exersaucer, she also enjoys playing on her new table piano.

A few weeks ago Finley and I took our first solo road trip to Rockport Texas to visit Gramps and to meet Aunt Irma and Uncle Jerry. Finley and I got up at 6 AM and were packed up and on the road two hours later. I wish I had taken a picture of the back of our car so that you could see how much gear we had for our 24 hour trip. The weekend was a huge success; we loved seeing our family.

In other news Finley cut her first tooth. I don’t know the exact date that it came through but it was pretty close to her 7 month birthday. We had lots of drooling and chewing but not too much fussing. One down…..like thirty to go?

Finley is the light of our life, every morning I think Todd and I fall a little more in love with her. She sure is a special little girl.
