I have officially lost count of how many “weeks” old Finley is and I now count her age in months. I think that means she is really growing up! We have had a busy few weeks with lots of travel and meeting of new friends. In the past three weeks we have been to New York, back to Utah, and to Napa California (sans Finley).
Our trip to New York was so much fun, it was great to be home and to see our friends. Finley and I spent our days walking around the West Village and meeting friends for lunch. She also earned a gold star on both flights for being an excellent traveler. I think she is like me and falls asleep as soon as anything starts to move. On our flight home to NY both Finley and I slept for about 3 hours while Todd watched on with envy. When we returned home from NY Todd and I decided that we would like to take advantage of our free time with a road trip to Napa. Gigi and Papa offered to watch Finley for four days while we had a little adult vacation. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get to go wine tasting in Napa while I had a 4 month old baby safely at home with her Grandparents. Todd and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful family. During Finleys trip to St. George she was very busy. She had the opportunity to attend the annual meeting at Entrada, as well as a very important Asssistants Club Meeting. Even though she kept a very busy calendar with Gigi she still had time to learn how to eat apples. The trip was a huge success! I expect on her next trip she will start her first stitching project.
We are now all safely home in beautiful and snowy Park City. This week we are having a very special visit from Nicole and Evelyn. Finley and Evelyn are fast friends; it is really special to see two little girls interact as infants who will grow up to be such great friends. We wish big sister Eleanore was here to show them the ropes. Last night we were having dinner and I mentioned what a difference a year will make, next year we will have dolls and forts and maybe a trip to the mountain to try out skiing…in the meantime we are loving having cuddly little babies, I am starting to realize that they don’t stay small forever.
We are anxiously awaiting a visit from Aunt Jenny in just two more days – Oh how exciting!!!!
